Preface
Before this English Composition 1 course, I have written a lot of things. My english instructor before Professor Sabatino, was an amazing one. At my school we’d have something called Creative Writings on Fridays. During these days she would have some interesting topics for you to make a story out of. Or if you already had your own story, you could just write that instead. I think I’ve tried to write narrative stories before, but to no avail successful. Back then, my writing focused on fiction. I didn’t really like nonfictional stories so I never tried writing some. I’ve written about things that could actually happen. In this English Composition I course, I had to focus on myself while writing these blog posts Composing An Emotional Scene, Composing An Emotion Scene With Dialogue and Symbolism, and My Narrative Project: A Wizard-Of-Oz Journey.
Writing these creative nonfiction style blogs, allowed me to dive into real events that happened to me. The creative nonfiction style, showed me that nonfiction doesn’t have to be boring. And in my memoir below, I plan on focusing on an event that really affected me in a way that completely changed my character. And I plan on trying to entertain you guys, not by creating things that didn’t happen, that’s not creative nonfiction. But by trying abstract ways of writing. Wow, I’m really starting to sound like my English Composition I Professor Sabatino Mangini. I guess that’s what happens when you have him twice within a day. This narrative project was the hardest assignment for me. I don't think I did the moment I chose to write about justice, but it's a good thing we're allowed to revise.
